The Return of Fate
Dreamscape
The geography of the dreamscape is documented in several conflicting sources throughout history. It changes from dreamer to dreamer, but some elements remain the same. There is a planet sized moon in the sky, there is a mountain whose peaks, when observed, drive some to madness, and there is a sea between two landmasses, sometimes called the Sea of Synapse or Morpheus’ Ocean. There is also a town or city at the foot of the mountain. The population varies in culture and in time, but they can be found milling about, sometimes in a daze, sometimes screaming to the heavens.
The dreamscape is commonly accessed by dreams and through the minds of dreamers. There is a shortcut by way of Opioid consumption. Some may know the detrimental effects of Opioid addiction and should be warned as to the perceived value of a lifetime dependency simply to enter the Dreamscape.
A curious thing about visitors to the Dreamscape, they find themselves wearing the regalia of a different era representative of who they wish to be. A lifetime doctor may find himself donned in the clothing of a sea captain or that of a circus clown. Additionally, it appears that modern contrivances, such as electronics and firearms, are rendered inert and transformed to a more mundane equivalent.
